The Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne (CAS) has set a date for the consideration of the appeal against UEFA's decision to award the Ukrainian national football team a technical defeat in the League of Nations match against Switzerland. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF).
In particular, the sports arbitration will hold a hearing on the UAF's appeal on February 16, 2021.
The national team of Ukraine received its loss on November 25, 2020. The football match between Ukraine and Switzerland was canceled due to an outbreak of coronavirus in the Ukrainian team.
As we reported earlier, Yaya Toure, a former player of FC Barcelona and Manchester City, will join the coaching staff of FC Olympic Donetsk.
"He will become a member of Olympic Donetsk's coaching staff. Yaya Toure used to play for FC Metallurg. This club does not exist anymore, but there is FC Olympic. Therefore, it is symbolic that he will start his coaching career with this club. Toure is not applying for the position of head coach. Yaya is just studying. He has a license, but he still needs to study in order to improve his skills, and he will go to Kyiv in order to study," said Toure's manager.
Toure signed his contract with FC Metallurg back in 2003. He finished his professional career in 2019.
