Matches of the 1/8 finals of the Europa League will take place in previously scheduled cities.
According to Sky Sport Italia, UEFA has made a decision on the format of this season’s Europa League play-off. Those pairs, which had managed to play the first match before the lockdown was introduced, will play matches in the originally planned cities. The first matches were played by FC København - İstanbul Başakşehir FK (0:1), Wolverhampton Wanderers FC - Olympiacos F.C. (1:1), FC Bayern Munich - Rangers FC (3: 1), FC Basel - Eintracht Frankfurt (3:0), Manchester United - LASK (5:0) and Wolfsburg FC - Shakhtar Donetsk FC (1:2).
Winner of FC Internazionale Milano - Getafe C.F. and A.S. Roma - Sevilla FC will be determined in one match, which will take place in Duisburg, Gelsenkirchen, Dusseldorf or Cologne. The final eight will be played there from August 10-21.
This decision should be officially approved by the UEFA executive committee, which will take gather for a meeting on June 17.
