Metalist Arena in Kharkiv (northwestern Ukraine) hosted the match of the UEFA Champions League game. Shakhtar Donetsk stood against GNK Dinamo Zagreb.

It was a decent match of worthy rivals; the home team opened the score thanks to the efforts of Shakhtar's newbie Yevhen Konoplyanka. Dinamo equalized in the first half, and it ended as 1-1.

In the second half, Mislav Orsic made the score 2-1 with a penalty kick; but that definitely was not enough to stop Shakhtar. Eventually, Dodo used the opportunity after one on one with Dynamo's goalkeeper.

The outcome of this game did not change much in the group standings. Both teams now have four points after two games, but the Croatians enjoy the better goal difference; Manchester City walks first, with the maximum of six points, and Atalanta is a definite outsider with zero.
