Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kyiv are about to find out who they will face in the UEFA Europa League playoffs. The ceremony is to take place in the afternoon of December 14.
Both Ukrainian squads ended up in the round of last 32 of the tournament; they came third in their respective Champions League groups. Considering their UEFA ranking, the Mountaineers ended up in the list of "seeded" teams; Dynamo leads the "non-seeded" ranking. The Ukrainian squads cannot play against each other - or any of Russian teams.
Seeded teams: Manchester United, Brugge, Ajax, Shakhtar, Roma, Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen, Rangers, PSV Eindhoven, Napoli, Leicester, Milan, Villarreal, Shakhtar Donetsk, Tottenham, Dynamo Zagreb, Hoffenheim.
Non-seeded teams: Dynamo Kyiv, Salzburg, Olimpiakos, BSC Young Boys, Molde, Slavia Praha, Benfica, Granada, Real Sociedad, Lille, Braga, Maccabi, Antwerp, VfL Wolfsburg, Crvena Zvezda.
The first legs will take place on February 18, 2021; these will be played on the stadiums of non-seeded teams. The return legs will be played on the pitches of seeded teams, on February 25.
