Russian sportsmen could skip the next Paralympic Games, slated for March 2018 in Korea, says Phillip Craven, the Head of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).

The Russian government still hasn’t fulfilled all commitments regarding the anti-doping system reform. Thus, the Committee gives Russia some more time – until September.

Russia’s membership in the Committee was suspended in August 2016, after Russian athletes were forced to skip the Rio Summer Olympics under the charges with the use of doping. Based on the results of repeatedly taken probes, the International Olympic Committee found out that 110 Russian sportsmen, including medal holders of 2008 and 2012, used the banned substances.
