Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk is appointed mandatory challenger for the fight with the winner of the Andy Ruiz and Anthony Joshua rematch. This is reported by Boxingscene.
On June 2, Ruiz defeated Joshua and took four titles: WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO. The exact date of the revenge has not yet been established, but it is known that it will be held in 2019.
The 32-year-old Usyk went to super heavyweight division, his debut will take place in the fall in a duel against Carlos Takam. After the change of weight category, Oleksandr lost his WBO world title.
Earlier we reported that Oleksandr Usyk will have to delay the fight against Carlos Takam for health reasons, namely the injury. His manager Egis Klimas posted this on Twitter.
