Ukrainian basketball player Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk played for the first time with the Detroit Pistons in this season.

The NBA regular season has begun. But after 4 matches Ukrainian Mikhailuk did not have a minute of play time. In this season, “Svi” debuted in the game against Toronto. Sviatoslav Mikhailuk played 8 minutes 34 seconds, during which he managed to score nine points (3/4 three-point shots) and make one rebound. Toronto won 125:113.

Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk has been playing in the USA since 2014. He made his NBA debut with the Lakers in 2018 but moved to Detroit last winter.

As we reported earlier, in the summer of 2013, Mykhailiuk played with the Ukrainian Under-16 junior national team in the 2013 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship. He was selected to the All-Tournament Team, after completing an outstanding championship, averaging 25.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.

Mykhailiuk played for the Ukrainian under-20 junior national team in the 2016 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship in Helsinki. During the tournament, Mykhailiuk led his team in scoring, at 14.9 points per game, in seven tourney games. He hit 36.8% of his floor shots.
