Ukraine’s Vasyl Lomachenko is getting ready for the fight against Guillermo Rigondeaux, which is slated for December; in his interview with BoxingScene, Lomachenko shared his views and expectations on the upcoming fight.
‘We wanted to hold this bout a couple of years ago when I fought in a different weight category; back then, it did not happen, but now, we finally made a deal. I will do my best to show my best boxing, the best of my skills. I guess our opposition will be a historical one. This fight matters a lot to me because Rigondeaux is a top fighter, one of the leaders in the ranking, regardless the weight category. It’s going to be really interesting because it’s a big challenge for me,’ Lomachenko said.
The Lomachenko-Rigondeaux bout is scheduled for December 9; the venue will be Madison Square Garden.
