WBA Super World Super Featherweight Champion Leo Santa Cruz commented on a potential fight against Vasyl Lomachenko, XSPORT reports.

“When Lomachenko was at 126, 130, I said hopefully one day I could fight him, because he is a great fighter and I would like to get in the ring with him”, Santa Cruz stated.

However, Santa Cruz also shared his opinion on Lomachenko's weaknesses that he was able to observe

“But I also see flaws in him. When he faces fighters who put pressure on him, he does not know what to do. He does not like it”.

3-weight world champion believes that Lomachenko should not be fighting in the 135-pound weight category.

“With the bigger guys, he’s moving up too much in weight,” Santa Cruz said. “I think 130 is the best weight class for him, because those other guys are gonna be too big.”

As we reported earlier, another world champion expressed his desire to meet with Lomachenko in the ring. American lightweight boxing champion Devin Haney believes that he is the one, who could beat Ukrainian boxer, VRinge informed.

"I really see some disadvantages Lomachenko possesses that could be used. First of all, one of the key factors - my jab - is probably the fastest in the division. To be honest with you, I have not thought about that match so much because it doesn't look like we will meet in the next match,” Haney stated.
