Mattel has launched a new Barbie collection dedicated to famous women. This was reported on the company's website.

This year’s Role Models collection introduced a doll that was inspired by the Ukrainian sabre fencer - the 2008 Olympic champion, a four-time World champion, and a five-time European champion Olga Harlan.

The doll is dressed in a fencing branded suit, with a rapier and a helmet mask, which is decorated in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

"As a little girl, I always dreamed of my Barbie doll. And I was like most girls. But I never thought that I would ever be a Barbie doll myself. I am incredibly happy that I was able to motivate the legendary brand for creating this beauty," Olga wrote on her Instagram page.

As we reported earlier, Ukrainian sabre fencer Olga Kharlan won a gold medal in the women's individual saber event at Saber Grand Prix, which was held in Montreal, Canada.

Olga defeated six opponents, beating five of them in a dominant fashion. China's Shao Yaqi was the one who gave Harlan a very intense match (15-14).
