Ukrainian footballer Ruslan Malinovskyi was a part of Atalanta B.C.’s starting line-up for the match against S.S. Lazio.

The team from Bergamo was the first to open the score - Djimsiti was the one who put the ball into the opponent’s goalposts.

Eventually, Lazio managed to even it – Muriqi scored a precise shot. The second goal in Lazio’s favor was provided by Acerbi.

Nevertheless, Malinovskyi was not willing to let his team lose, which led to a second goal on Atalanta's record. The winning goal was scored by Miranchuk.

In its next match, Atalanta will face the winner of the match against Napoli and Spezia.

As we reported earlier, another Ukrainian footballer brought his team to a victory in the national championship: Maryan Shved, who represents K.V. Mechelen, scored two goals and made one assist in the team’s last match against Waasland-Beveren.

Sved's performance allowed Mechelen to get the victory on that night (3:2). At this point, he has three goals in 10 games for the club. He was considered the MVP of the match.

23-year-old Shved is a ward of FC Karpaty Lviv. He was bought by Sevilla in 2015 but later returned to Lviv.
