Vasyl Lomachenko, the WBA lightweight champion of the world will stand against Jose Pedraza, the current holder of WBO champion title. Top Rank Boxing reported this on Wednesday.
The Ukrainian and his Puerto-Rican opponent will take it to the ring on December 8, which is now the official date of the bout.
The place of the forthcoming venue is New York's Madison Square Garden.
It will be Lomachenko's fourth fight on this arena; in the previous three events, he defeated Roman Martinez, Guillermo Rigondeaux, and Jorge Linares.
Earlier, Lomachenko's promoter Bob Arum stated that the winner of the fight Raimundo Beltran-Jose Pedraza would sign a contract to fight with the Ukrainian. Pedraza defeated Beltran in Round 11, so it's up to him to stand against Lomachenko now.
