WBA, WBO and WBC lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko stated that his second pro fight against Orlando Salido as his rival was the most difficult for him, ISport reports.
The Mexican has already ended his professional career, and the revenge at him is not possible for Ukrainian boxer.
"Probably the most difficult opponent was Salido, who I lost to. Most likely, this is him. The difference was that I was boxing against the world champion when I had just turned professional. I did not fully understand all the intricacies of professional boxing. It was a bitter experience that further showcased me as a professional," Lomachenko stated.
Salido has already finished his boxing career, so there is no opportunity for the rematch. We were not able to negotiate. After I had a fight against him, a year or two passed, and he finished with boxing. Therefore, we did not have time to reach an agreement," he added.
"I really see some disadvantages Lomachenko possesses that could be used. First of all, one of the key factors - my jab - is probably the fastest in the division. To be honest with you, I have not thought about that match so much because it doesn't look like we will meet in the next match,” Haney stated.
