Ukrainian boxing champion Vasyl Lomachenko and Anthony Crolla held a media training session in Los Angeles on April 10. The boxers will have a match early on Saturday.
“He has a specific style, he goes defensive, he is waiting for a mistake, but this strategy will not work with me. Crolla will not be able to win if he just defends himself,” Ukrainian champion said.
Crolla is also determined and intends to make a sensation.
“He is a unique fighter and I have had to spar with a variety of guys to learn how to block and move away from everything that Lomachenko can throw in my direction,” Crolla said.
As it was reported earlier, Vasyl Lomachenko, the lightweight champion of the world (WBA, WBO) will get USD 2.2 million for the fight against Anthony Crolla. On April 12, the Ukrainian will be defending his belts from the British contender.
Lomachenko's manager Egas Klimas told the press about the Ukrainian's current shape. 'Lomachenko is doing great. He is in his best shape. He is strong both physically and mentally. I watched his preparations yesterday. He is at his peak. Vasya is working hard as usual. He is preparing for any fight as always. He is so strong mentally that the name of his opponent was never a problem for him. Maybe, he is mentally stronger than physically. He is ready as if he is about to fight with Floyd Mayweather', he said.
