Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko (14-2, 10 KOs) commented on his recent defeat in the unification fight against Teofimo Lopez Jr., lomus_official reports.

"It is always challenging to comment on something right after the fight. I would like to watch the fight first and then say something. Getting closer was quite a challenge: the size, the reach play a huge role. I would like to apologize to everyone, apologize to my team, and thank you for all the support," reads the message.

Loma also mentioned a potential rematch against Lopez Jr. "It depends on him. If he can give me a rematch, then, of course, I am ready," he added.

As we reported earlier, according to Lomachenko's promoter, Egis Klimas, Vasiliy underwent shoulder surgery this Monday.

It is not the first time the boxer had to go under the knife: he had surgery on his right shoulder in May 2018.

It is reported that the surgery was caused by both a preexisting ailment and an injury his client suffered during the second round of his last bout.
