Shakhtar Donetsk and Olympique Lyonnais will play the Round 6 game of the group stage of UEFA Champions League at NSC Olimpiysky stadium in Kyiv, not in Kharkiv. The press service of the Ukrainian team posted that on Tuesday evening.

UEFA ruled to transfer the game's venue to Kyiv because of the martial law in Kharkiv region, where it was supposed to be played initially.

Arena-Lviv was another option to host the match, but the football authority eventually chose NSC Olimpiysky

The game's date remained as it was, December 12.

Earlier, the Mountaineers used the last-minute opportunity and defeated TSG Hoffenheim 2-3; now, they are to face Olympique Lyonnais for the right to proceed in the playoffs of UEFA Champions League.
