Kyiv to host 2019 European Diving Championships

Kyiv received a right to host the 2019 European Diving Championships, as the press office of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine reports.

The relevant decision was made on August 5 the session of the Ligue Européenne de Natation (LEN), which took place in Glasgow, Scotland.

The competition is to be held in August 2019.

The representatives of the National Olympic Committee noted that Ukraine has received the right to host sport events on diving on the international level for the third time. In particular, Liko arena hosted the European Championship in 2017, when Ukraine won, and a Youth Championship within which the licenses for the participation in 2018 III Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires.

It should be mentioned that the European Diving Championships is a competition held each odd-numbered year. LEN organizes the competition. The European sportsmen are the participants of the event. They compete in dive from one- and three-meter jump ramp and from a ten-meter diving tower.
