On Friday, September 29, in the Canadian city of Toronto, the Ukrainian team completed its participation in the Invictus Games 2017. In this international sports competition take part servicemen and war veterans with a disability received during the performance of their duties.
The Ukrainian team won 14 medals: 8 golden, 3 silver and 3 bronze.

We recall, Invictus Games is an international sports competition in the Paralympic style, founded by the Prince of Wales Harry in 2014. Servicemen and veterans with limited physical abilities, who were injured in the performance of official duties, take part in the competitions. Ukraine in 2017 for the first time received the right to take part in Invictus Games as a participant in many military exercises, peacekeeping operations under the auspices of the United Nations, and also as a country which military personnel have combat experience in carrying out tasks within the framework of the operation in Dondas. Together with Ukraine this year in the Games also debuts the national team of Romania. The competition started on September 24 in Toronto.
