Oleksandr Usyk, the undefeated Ukrainian heavyweight told the press he would be glad to meet with American Deontay Wilder in the ring. He said so in his interview with Sky News.
"Wilder... he has a belt. I don't need any adaptation to the heavyweight division. When I moved to cruiserweight, I lost several kilograms... But right now, I have my own natural weight. With every single training, we implement some new stuff all the time", Usyk said, answering the questions about his future opponent, moving to another weight division and peculiarities of his training mode.
Thus, Usyk claimed he would prefer the American over British fighters Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, the other two possible opponents in his weight category.
Ukraine's undefeated boxer Oleksandr Usyk is to debut in the super heavyweight division in autumn; the fight was supposed to take place in May, but the Ukrainian suffered a bicep injury, and the bout was rescheduled to September. His opponent would be Carlos Takam.
