“Of course I'm proud of where I was born. I am happy when I take a flag after the fight and show that I'm a Ukrainian guy, I'm from Ukraine. Of course, I'm proud. Because this is the land my parents live, they gave me a life, they give me a chance to be a big sportsman, a big athlete. This land raised me," Lomachenko said.

Lomachenko also commented on himself achieving even greater heights:

“It depends on my opponents. I mean not weak opponent, I’m talking about top fighter, I’m talking about a boxer who understands what to do in a ring.”
