American dreams of a fight against Ukrainian boxer

American lightweight boxing champion Devin Haney believes that he is the one, who could beat Vasyl Lomachenko, VRinge reports.

"I really see some disadvantages Lomachenko possesses that could be used. First of all, one of the key factors - my jab - is probably the fastest in the division. To be honest with you, I have not thought about that match so much because it doesn't look like we will meet in the next match,” Haney stated.

“But I think I have all the attributes to beat Lomachenko. I'm faster, stronger, taller. And I'm getting better, I am only 20 years old. It is obvious from my fights that I am gaining strength, I am getting tougher. In the fight against Zaur Abdullaev. I broke his orbital bone with my fists. And all of that at the age of 20! So I'm really getting stronger and more powerful”.

"I think Lomachenko showed us his weaknesses in the bout against Campbell. Luke fought well, used his jab, and he was able to land some good power shots to the body. He definitely didn't win the fight, but he looked good overall. Lomachenko's strength has been known for a long time. He has excellent footwork. This means that you have to match him in this component. Lomachenko will not be beaten unless you can withstand him with the same quick footwork," WBC ‘regular’ champion said.

As we reported earlier, Ukraine's Vasyl Lomachenko received another prestigious award as the recognized world champion. According to the official portal of the WBC, he is now the World Boxing Franchise Champion.

The WBC announced its decision at the 57th annual Convention.
