The Swedish national hockey team claimed gold of the 2017 World Championship.

In the final game, Swedes faced the national team of Canada;  the Three Crowns opened the score in the late second period, but Canadians equalized in the early third.

After the full time, it was still a 1-1 draw, so the squads went for the penalty shootout. Sweden triumphed as Oliver Ekman Larsson scored the winning goal.
