The match of Round 10 of Ukrainian Premier League between Olimpik (Donetsk) and Zorya (Luhansk) has been delayed; so, no game will be played on November 21. Press office of the League reported that on Thursday.
It appears that the spike of coronavirus occurred among the staff of Olimpik. The team currently lacks healthy players and thus simply cannot perform on the pitch. The games between junior teams are not going to take place, too. The Premier League's management will later decide on the new date for the games.
"We learned the test results now. 13-14 people got sick, eventually. Just a couple of players left; so the remaining staff went for self-isolation. Alas, we have no one to use in the game against Zorya. All goalkeepers are sick, and we just can't put a field player on the goals. It's not an option. Members of the coach and management staff are sick, so we turned to the Ukrainian Association of Football and the Premier League, notified them of the situation," Olimpik's President Vladyslav Gelzin said.
Ihor Klymovsky, the head coach of Olimpik passed positive test as well.
