Ukraine's national team played the last friendly sparring prior to the EURO 2020. Kharkiv-based Metalist stadium hosted the game between the home team and Cyprus.

The Yellow Blues grabbed the ball early in the game and began to press forward. Roman Yaremchuk could have opened the score, but missed repeatedly. Nevertheless, the opportunities kept emerging, and Oleksandr Zubkov earned the spot kick, as Andreas Panayiotou downed him in the penalty area. Oleksandr Yarmolenko opened the score.

Soon after that, Ukrainians doubled it. Yarmolenko landed a cross from the right flank and hit the arm of the defender - again in the penalty area. Oleksandr Zinchenko landed a powerful blow under the crossbar.
