The victory over FC Chornomorets Odesa in the last match for Dynamo during 2016/2017 season became the last one for Serhiy Rebrov as the head coach of Kyiv team. This was also reported on Dynamo's website.
Rebrov announced his resignation during after-match press conference:
"We have agreed with Ihor Mikhaylovich (Surkis — 112 International) after our conversation. We should make it public now. We shook hands and will not continue our cooperation. I would like to thank team, president, who gave me this opportunity, all the fans, who always supported us," Rebrov said.
Earlier media reported that the most probable successor of Rebrov in Dynamo may be Oleksandr Khatskevich.
As it is known, Serhiy Rebrov took Dynamo Kyiv in 2014. Dynamo won Ukrainian Cup under his leadership, and the coach signed the final contract. Dynamo managed to win Ukrainian championship in 2015 for the first time since 2009 under Rebrov’s leadership, adding another win in the Cup. Kyivans managed to defend champion’s title in 2016.
