Dynamo Kyiv FC hosted Belgian KAA Gent in the Champions League play-off match. Their first meeting ended in a 2:1 victory for the Kyivites.
The hosts were the ones who started actively. Such a strategy allowed them to open the score in only 10 minutes. Buyalskyi managed to execute a precise shot with Supryaga’s assist.
The second goal was scored by de Pena from the penalty area right at the end of the first time. Gerson Rodrigues was the last person to score in that match, making it 3:0 for the Kyiv club.
The draw for the group stage of the Champions League will take place on Thursday, October 1. Dynamo Kyiv will also be joined by Shakhtar Donetsk FC.
As we reported earlier, defender of Dynamo Kyiv FC and the national football team of Ukraine Vitaliy Mykolenko may continue his career in Italy.
As football scout Alex Velykykh told Bombardier, the Kyiv club has already started talks with an unnamed Italian club about Mykolenko's transfer for 25 million euros.
"Sky Sports commentators said that there was a specific club in Italy that had started negotiations on Mykolenko. The starting price is 25 million euros. They also said that it is a very high price to start negotiations on a football player born in 1999," Velykykh said.
