Football fans witnessed saw another loss of the Ukrainian team, which made it stop just one step from UEFA Champions League’s group stage. BSC Young Boys outmatched Dynamo Kyiv in Bern, winning 2-0. Thus, given the fixture’s result on the aggregate, the White Blues left the most prestigious European competition.

Dynamo failed to duly prepare for the game at Stade de Suisse in Bern, where the game took place. The pitch with artificial grass had a strong impact on the Kyivites’ pass accuracy. Young Boys kept the ball and therefore played in much more confident manner.

Early in the first half, the referee awarded a penalty to Young Boys. Guillaume Hoarau left the Dynamo goalkeeper no chances. Then, in the end spiel, the home team scored once again – Jordan Lotomba’s header made it 2-0.

In the previous season, Young Boys kicked Shakhtar Donetsk out of the Champions League; thus, Dynamo became the second Ukrainian team to have failed to pass the team from Bern in UEFA Champions League qualifications.

Now, Dynamo will continue to perform in UEFA Europa League.
