Ukraine’s Federation of Boxing reported this on their website on Thursday. Due to the official confirmation by the International Boxing Association (AIBA), Mytrofanov became the first boxer of Ukraine’s men’s national team who got his license to participate in the approaching Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
‘I congratulate Ukraine’s entire sports society, personally Dmytro Mytrofanov and his coach Vadym Kazanin on this great news. I guess Dmytro is one of the people who truly deserved to participate in the 2016 Olympics, and now we managed to get the confirmation of this fact, said Volodymyr Prodyvus, President of Ukraine’s Federation of Boxing.
