IBF world lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez Jr. doubts Vasyl Lomachenko's commitment to fighting him next, Boxing Scene reports.

During his recent appearance on the radio, Lopez Jr. explained his position on Loma's attitude towards the fight.

We are just trying to see that this guy does not back out. My thing is really that – do not back out. Let me talk my sh-t and I want you to feel it and I want you to not back the f--k out. Because everybody wants to see this fight happen,” he stated.

The 22-year-old fighter believes that Lomachenko's team is trying to buy time for their boxer.

I cannot promise you guys anything. I do want the Loma fight, but as this pandemic keeps on going, it its just making that fight slowly fading away. And I think they are waiting on it, though. That is the sh-t, and I hate it. They are waiting on it. They are waiting for me. They know I cannot make this weight no more. They know I cannot make the weight. They know I cannot make the weight no more,” the IBF champion added.

As we reported earlier, Bob Arum, the boxing promoter who represents both fighters, expects the fight to take place in September: it will be held without spectators somewhere in the USA.
