National football teams of Ukraine and Turkey played a tie in Konya. None of the teams proved strong enough to seal the victory – and so important three points necessary to improve their chances in the team standings.
Ukraine scored twice in the first half – Yarmolenko landed a penalty kick at 24’, and three minutes later Artem Kravets doubled the score. However, Turks managed to partially return favor yet in the first half – Tufan’s header made it 1-2.
The Yellow Blues had their moments to seal the victory, but Turks made their point once more; Calhanoglu delivered another penalty kick, making the final score 2-2.
Ukraine is now to face the national team of Kosovo. The fixture is slated for October 9 in Poland.
