The Croatians were playing more confidence at the beginning of the game. Nigeria team controlled the ball well, but they lacked the quality of passing. As a result, after the exchange of a few dangerous moments the Croatians opened the score – Etebo put his foot under Kramaric’s blast after the corner kicks. The Africans managed to replace the game on another part of the field, yet they could not disquiet Subašić.
In the second period, teams continued exchanging moments of a middle quality, but the European representatives were much more interesting. They have shot a goal deservedly.
It should be noted that Argentina and Iceland played in a tie in the second period of the D group.
