In the second half, the Austrians improved their pace and attacked more. The Dutch deflected their pressure, and one of the counterattacks ended up in the second goal. Denzel Dumfries got the ball from Donyell Malen who went one on one with Austrian goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann; Dumfries's powerful shot sealed the victory for his squad.

They wanted it to be visible for photographers and players. However, the stewards forced them to remove the flag, Obozrevatel reported.
"Ukrainian supporters who came to cheer for their team in the Matchday 2 fixture of European football championship were forced to remove the black and red banner with the inscription "Glory to the Nation! Death to the enemies!" on it. The incident took place during the match between the national team of Ukraine and the team of North Macedonia in Bucharest", reads the message.
The reason for such a request was not immediately explained.
