“It was important for me to regroup and return to the match. It was a really positive moment. Usually the tournaments are held in very hot conditions. In the end we managed to play and we are happy that we finished today. There were very different conditions than we expected. I coped well with them," said Svitolina.
As we reported earlier, Ukrainian top contender Serhiy Derevyanchenko (13-2, 10 KOs) is “all in” for his upcoming title shot at WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo (30-0, 22 KOs).
"I do not think about it as it is my third title shot. I am just focused on the fact that the title of world champion is at stake. I am always 100% ready. I am going to lie: the championship is the main goal of my entire life. I cannot describe how crucial it is for me. If it works out, I will be very happy, I will feel like Superman," Derevyanchenko stated.
The fight takes place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, today September 26.
