President’s Office is considering dividing the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports into the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ukrainian Pravda reports about it.

It is noted that the division of the ministry is hindered by the 2020 Olympics, preparations for which should have already begun. Creating a new ministry can put an end to work. Therefore, the Office is considering splitting the ministry.

Thus, Volodymyr Borodianskyi will continue dealing with cultural issues, but the youth and sports issues are planned to be transferred to the State Sports Agency in the governance of Culture Ministry.

The department might be headed by ex-goalkeeper of Dynamo Kyiv FC and Ukraine’s national football team Oleksandr Shovkovskiy.

As we reported earlier, Ukrainian trainer Roman Hryhorchuk left FC Astana, club’s official website informed about it.

The club and coach have abrogated the contract upon mutual agreement. Roman Hryhorchuk has been working at Astana since 2018. Last season, the club became the champion of Kazakhstan. Under Hryhorchuk's leadership, the team reached the Europa League group stage.
