Denys Boiko will not play for Dynamo Kyiv or the national team of Ukraine until at least early 2020. The goalkeeper of the Ukrainian team suffered an injury in the UEFA Europa League game against Lugano. He needs a surgery now.
According to journalist Kyrylo Kryzhanivsky, the goalkeeper also takes time to treat his spine. At any rate, he would not return to the pitch until the beginning of the next year.
This season, Boiko played ten games for Dynamo. Georgiy Bushchan will replace him for the time being; Ruslan Neshcheret will be the substitute.
As is known, Ukraine's national team defeated Portugal 2-1 and qualified for the group stage of UEFA EURO 2020.
