Dynamo Kyiv and Stade Rennais cross swords in the Round 3 fixture of the group stage of UEFA Europa League. Aleksandr Khatskevich's squad came to Rennes and step onto the pitch of Roazhon Park arena to try and claim their three points and the valuable victory.
So far, Dynamo comes third in the group ranking, with two points; Renn has three, coming second in Group K. The current leader is Astana (4 points), and Jablonec is definitely an outsider with no victories or draws played, which means no points.
The White-Blues need to win so as to calmly proceed to the next stage of the competition. So far, Dynamo has been experiencing trouble in the line-up quality and team chemistry, which is why in both previous fixtures in the group stage of UEFA Europe they played 2-2 draws. Another draw or a loss would be unacceptable in this kind of situation.
The fact that Dynamo, unlike Stade Rennais, beat its previous opponent in the national league (the White-Blues defeated Vorskla in the Sunday game), might provide a reason for careful optimism.
