Dynamo Kyiv FC has won its 12th Ukrainian Cup

Dynamo Kyiv FC and Vorskla Poltava played the final match of the Ukrainian Cup in Kharkiv.

The Poltava team decided to surprise the Kyivites with an active start. And in the end, it worked. Kani’s kick sent the ball into the Dynamo penalty area where Stepanyuk remained uncovered and as a result - the first goal for Vorskla.

Dynamo returned a favor - Verbic received the ball on the goal line from de Pena, executed precise shot, and evened the score.

In the second half of the match, the teams struggled to score. On the 70th minute, Verbic once again sent the ball into the opponent’s goalpost, but the referee ruled it as an offside.

Following the results of extra time, the fate of the trophy was decided in a series of penalties. After the score was 7:7, Shabanov put an end to the match, bringing Dynamo the 12th Ukrainian Cup in its history.

As we reported earlier, the national football team of Ukraine is going to play a friendly match against the national team of Poland on November 11.

The meeting will take place in Chorzow at Silesian Stadium.
