Dynamo Kyiv and Stade de Rennais entered the pitch of Kyiv's NSC Olimpyisky to sort things out in the return leg of UEFA Europa League fixture. The game kicked off at 7.55 p.m. Kyiv time.
Dynamo Kyiv is currently second in the team rankings of Group K of the League; the French, on the other hand, are now the outsiders, and nothing but victory will be enough for them to save a chance to proceed.
Earlier, Dynamo Kyiv grabbed victory from the hands of Stade Rennais in France; the guests beat their opponent 1-2. As we reported, it was the Round 3 game in the group stage of UEFA Europa League.
The home team controlled the ball in the early first half, but this could not keep Dynamo from scoring for a while. Tomasz Kedziora got the ball after a decent pass from the left flank and opened the score.
The French managed to equalize before the halftime, with Clement Grenier using his chance during a free kick.
Late in the second half, Volodymyr Shepelev was sent off the pitch after getting a red card; thus, Dynamo had to end the game with nine players in the field. But that's when the unexpectedly nice combination followed; Che Che handed the ball over to Vitaliy Buyalsky who sealed the final score.
