Dynamo Kyiv's head coach Oleksiy Mykhaylychenko commented on the victory over the Swedish Malmö in the Europa League, the press service of Dynamo Kyiv reports.
"A very important victory for us. Moreover, it was achieved in a good match, against a good opponent, and in the Europa League. So, I am still nervous. This is a normal state, some feelings and emotions are always present. If a person is not anxious, he will not be nervous. This applies not only to players and coaches but also to everyone else," Mykhaylychenko stated.
As we reported earlier, Dynamo Kyiv had lost six matches in a row before the match with Malmö. Its next match will take place on Sunday against Vorskla in Poltava. The Ukrainian team has been in awful shape lately; the Kyivites haven't won a game in the national championship for a month. As Dynamo was kicked out of Champions League, it became a matter of honor for the team to get revenge in Europa League.
The German city of Wolfsburg hosted the match of UEFA Europa League on Thursday night. The local team, VfL Wolfsburg stood against Ukraine's FC Oleksandriya.
The home team kept the situation under control most of the time; first two goals were claimed over five minutes in the first half. Oleksandriya resisted and managed to score once in the second, but the 2-1 score lasted only for a minute or so. Wolfsburg immediately made it 3-1, leaving the guests a ghostly chance to make a comeback in the second leg.
