Romanian football coach Mircea Lucescu

The presentation of the new head coach of Dynamo Kyiv FC Mircea Lucescu took place today on the club's official website.

The Romanian specialist answered questions from media members.

"I am not going to change anything radically. I want to give players an opportunity to show their best qualities. I have only one week to see the players, meet them, and understand in which direction I should work. I will communicate with each player individually in order to understand his psychological mood and what he wants from this life.

I think that Dynamo has a good team, selection of players, talented youth. They need to change their mentality. It is important to organize the game and motivate them to be at their best in matches and training.

Shakhtar was a crazy story for me. But it is in the past. Emotions and feelings are there because a lot of significant work was done. Nevertheless, I am a professional coach, so I have to move forward despite all the feelings. Italian coaches moved to different clubs, footballers as well, but professionals must move to a new level," Lucescu stated.

As we reported earlier, on July 20, the management of Dynamo Kyiv FC dismissed Oleksiy Mykhaylychenko from the post of the team's head coach.

Oleksiy Mykhailychenko headed Dynamo Kyiv through the course of the season, replacing Oleksandr Khatskevych. Under Mykhailychenko's leadership, the Kyivites won the Ukrainian Cup and took second place in the Ukrainian championship.
