"I hope that the next two years are just the beginning of a new, victorious page in the history of Dynamo, and we are very pleased that Lucescu will be part of this path. Over the year, our club and team have made a big step forward, and we hope that progress will continue. Having made the right choice a year ago, we have no doubt that the current decision will also benefit Dynamo," Surkis commented on the extension of the contract.

Lucescu won the Ukrainian Premier League, the Ukrainian Cup and the Ukrainian Super Cup with Dynamo in his debut season. In the Ukrainian Premier League, Dynamo Kyiv is 11 points ahead of Shakhtar Donetsk.

Meanwhile, FIFA has refreshed its ranking of national football teams. The new list may be found on the Association's official website.

Belgium saved the leadership. French come second, and Brazilians close the top three. Nothing changed here.

Ukraine, too, saved its current place in the ranking; it's 24th.
