Diamond League stage: Ukrainian athletes get prize places at high jumping competition

Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Mahuchikh set the best result of the season in high jumping at the stage of the Diamond League in Stockholm. This was reported by the press service of the Athletics Federation of Ukraine.

Mahuchikh managed to reach a height of 2.03 m, becoming the owner of the gold medal.

Ukrainian athlete Iryna Herashchenko overcame 1.96 m, finishing fourth.

Athlete from Ukraine Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk (6.79 m.) won bronze in long jump. 

As we reported earlier, a new record in high jumping in the U20 category was set by 18-year-old Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Mahuchikh

"2.01 (meters, - 112 International) is my personal record on premises. The next start in Cottbus is January 29 (Germany - eds.) We will compete and show good results," Mahuchikh said after winning the Demyanjuk Memorial in Lviv.

Also, on January 29, Ukrainian athletes Yaroslava Mahuchikh and Yulia Levchenko got the first prize places at the Springer-Meeting tournament, which was held in the German city of Cottbus.
