Ukrainian boxer Ivan Redkach was not able to secure a victory over former world champion Danny Garcia.
The boxers went through 12 rounds, and it was Garcia who dictated the pace and the course of the fight. Redkach initially tried to impose his boxing on the opponent, but after a couple of unsuccessful rounds, Garcia took the advantage and started picking up his shots on the Ukrainian counterpart.
It is worth noting that Redkach bit Garcia on his left shoulder during the eighth round, reminding all of the boxing fans about Mike Tyson's infamous bite in the fight against Evander Holyfield.
As a result, after the final gong, the judges declared Garcia the winner of the fight. He became an official contender for the WBC title now owned by fellow American Errol Spence Jr.
As we reported earlier, Oleksandr Krassyuk, promoter of former undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, commented on the process of negotiations with Ukrainian’s next opponent, iFL TV informed.
"We have not yet decided on the date or the opponent. The plan is that it will be Chisora, but I cannot say for sure. Most likely, it will be so - first Chisora and then Joshua," Krassyuk said.
