Heavyweight contender Dereck Chisora (32-9, 23 KOs) intends to push the pace against Oleksandr Usyk (17-0, 13 KOs) when they finally square inside the ring, Boxing Scene reports.

"He is a novice at heavyweight but we know he can fight, so we are going to be pushing hard, chucking leather. We are not going to stop chucking leather. We are going to be on it. I am going to try [to push him for pace]. I will be all over him like a baby’s rash," Chisora stated.

Nevertheless, the Briton recognizes the level of the opponent he is about to face.

"It is a big step up for me. I am fighting one of the pound-for-pound best fighters in the world. It is him, Tyson Fury and Canelo Alvarez. So I am fighting one of the top, top guys. I am excited about it, I am like a young kid on Christmas Eve," he added.

As we reported earlier, former undisputed cruiserweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk does not feel any concern about the high volume work rate of his future opponent Dereck Chisora.

"Normally I face this kind of plan, every fight. If you want to hit the target, you need to see the target, because he can throw as many punches as he can, but you need to land them into the target," Usyk said.
