A group of Chinese investors purchased the Sumy FC, the Ukrainian football team that belongs to the first league of the national championship. SMPO company, the former owner of the club, released the statement on the issue.

‘Our goal is to create the perspective structure, which surely will be repaid. We will keep on funding the team to certain extent – when it comes to quartering, feeding, transporting and offering football pitches for practice sessions’, the company said as quoted by 0542.ua.

The Chinese investors said they intend to bring the team to the Ukrainian Premier League, the top division of the country’s football championship.
