British boxer Luke Campbell who lost to WBA, WBC, WBO and The Ring lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko last summer spoke about his chances in a possible rematch against the Ukrainian boxer, Boxing Social reports.
"The lightweight division is now the best in boxing. We have five or six big names, and they all are in the same division. These are big names that are known all over the world: Lomachenko, Davis, Lopez, Haney, Garcia. We have big names with worldwide popularity in one division,” Campbell said.
After being asked about Lomachenko’s upcoming bout against Teofimo Lopez, he gave quite a candid answer.
“I am familiar with Lopez. He is a great fighter, but I see Lomachenko winning this bout. It will be very interesting to see how Lomachenko deals with Lopez. When I fought Lomachenko in the last fight, let's be honest, I gave him a hard fight. Looking at the fight, I see that he won and he is the pound-for-pound best boxer in the world. But I think that if the opportunity presents itself, with a little change in my style I will beat him in a rematch. I truly believe that,” the Briton stated.
As we reported earlier, Vasyl Lomachenko continues his preparation for the upcoming bout against Teofimo Lopez.
