Ukrainian boxer, world champion according to WBC and WBO, Oleksandr Usyk is to meet Russian boxer Murat Gasiev in the finals of the World Boxing Super Series.

On Saturday night, Gassiev won over Cuban boxer Yunier Dorticos in the semi-finals of the WSSS, thus becoming Usyk’s competitor. Previously Oleksandr Usyk won his semi-final match against Mairis Briedis. The match is to be held on May 11 in Saudi Arabia.

Right after Gassiev’s fight with Dorticos, there was a face-to-face of the Russian boxer and his Ukrainian competitor. There were no provocations, however. The boxers wished each other luck.

“Two guys who dedicated their lives to boxing will show all of their skills. Two guys will make their fans happy, it will be a spectacular fight, I assure you,” Oleksandr Usyk told journalists.
