Ukrainian middleweight Serhiy Derevyanchenko (11-0, 9 KOs) defeated the former first rating of IBF, the 33-year-old Bahamian Tureano Johnson (20-2, 14 KOs).

The victory was received in the 12th round by technical knockout. In the first rounds, Johnson  tried to impose competition, but later Derevyanchenko completely seized the initiative.

In the 12th round, Ukrainian struck a series of accurate blows to the head, after which Johnson fell. The battle itself was subsequently stopped.

Thanks to this victory, Derevyanchenko became a mandatory challenger for the IBF middleweight title, which is owned by Gennady Golovkin from Kazahhstan.
