Boxing: Ukrainian Berinchyk might continue career in U.S.

An unnamed American promotion company offered the Ukrainian К2 Promotions to lead WBO International champion Denys Berinchyk in lightweight together, as Sport Arena reports.

On April 20, Denys Berinchyk will fight with an experienced Japanese boxer Nihito Arakawa in Kyiv Palace of Sports. If the Ukrainian athlete wins, his next fight might be in the U.S.

Denys Berinchyk had ten fights on the professional ring. He won them all, he ended seven fights by knockout. For the Ukrainian boxer, Arakawa will become the first one from the top rating. Berinchyk hopes to compete for the title in the lightweight.  

As we reported, world champion in heavyweight Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk might debut in super heavyweight with a fight with Carlos Takam.

Besides, the World Boxing Association (WBA) obliged Oleksandr Usyk to protect his title against the Russian Denis Lebedev. In case of refusal, Usyk will lose the status of an absolute champion with his WBA belt. Denis Lebedev will compete for the vacant title with undefeated Lawrence Okolie.
