Boxing: Ukraine’s Lomachenko ranked first among world’s top boxers

Having secured his WBO title after the recent fight with Rigondeaux, the Ukrainian is now considered the world’s #1 regardless of the weight division, according to ESPN

Ukraine’s WBO super-featherweight champion of the world Vasyl Lomachenko is now on the top of ESPN’s ranking.

Last weekend, the fighter confidently defeated Guillermo Rigondeaux and thus defended his WBO title, which added to his already impressive image. ESPN conducted a poll, where the Ukrainian gained the largest number of the votes.

Lomachenko retained his WBO title in the bout against Guillermo Rigondeaux; the TKO occurred in Round 6, as the Cuban said he injured his hand and could not continue.
